| Well....
I would have to say I haven't wrote for quite a long time.
There happens to be this new and easier way to keep in touch with friends.... called Facebook.
Try it, you may see what I mean. :)
Anyways..things here have been going pretty good. We ended up having a five day weekend this weekend....no school on Thursday due to freezing snow...which is still freezing, causing me to almost fall on my butt everytime i walk out my front door, haha. Highschool didn't have school on friday for some reason....for which that reason i am not quite sure of considering we had conferences about 2 weeks ago...although, i am not about to complain. And thank goodness for President's day!! woot woot!
So thursday i had guitar lessons and i hung out with Emilee most of the day and then spent the night at her house.. got hardly any sleep, then she took me home at like 7:30 because she had track practice.
Friday I went out to lunch with the Katies and after that we went and visited some middle school teachers...good times. later on Emilee and I went out to dinner....(i have decided that this is where all my money goes...going out to eat) at china cafe. We then went to the last boys basketball game, which, we won...good end of the season. After that me, Emilee, Jordan, and Jon went to Starbucks and hung out for a while...it was an okay time.
Today i had to work...lots of people wanted dounuts today...and i mean a lot. Then Katie picked up me and Anna for Erikas sweet 16 party. And...yeah, thats about it.
so, hope this was a good update for all you people who still read this. :)
God bless, love you all...Heidi
| So...New Year Resolutions anyone?
My New Years actually turned out to be better than I thought...although my night would have been more fantastic if Kaylee could have come to Bettendorf!
Me, my mom, dad, and brother went to Andrew's (our neighbors) house and we hung out for a while. Then Andrew and I drove over to Cory's house and hung out with a bunch of people...had a good time. Then it was back to Andrews house to celebrate the New Year with the ball drop...at 11:00...?? yeah, it was kind of weird. Then I decided to stay at Andrews for a while and us two and his mom had a pretty good time talking to his internet friends on this intercom thing and his girlfriend. Guess you just had to be there. Andrew...we def. have to hang out more often...I'm going to be an expert at that game, just you wait and see.
After church today Heather and I went out to eat...for the last time before she goes back to school. Then me, Emilee, and Mel went to the church youth group get together tonight. It was actually a pretty good time.
So...New Year Resolutions?
1. I need to focus more on God this year...I feel like I have been slipping away the last couple months. I need to focus more and let God take control
2. I really think I need to lighten up more...for some reason I like...got more serious this year. haha. I haven't hung out with so many people this year....and I miss them all, A LOT. I need to lighten up and have some more fun duing my highschool life.
3. I can't forget the New Year Resolution that Aaron and I made....pretty much the same as above....we were just talking about how much I miss hanging out with everyone...so we agreed to fix that. :)
4. and last but not least...I think I need to be more truthful to myself and other people. I have been struggling with a lot of things the last 2 months or so....a big fact that I keep a lot of stuff to myself and think I can deal with things myself. I'm starting to relize it helps so much to talk to friends....and def. trust God a lot more with my problems.
I think thats about it. haha. Anyone care to share?
School...in 2 days. I'm excited, but at the same time I'm not. Hopefully the rest of this year will be amazing.
I hope everyone's New Year has had a great start....I know I can't complain.
love to all and God bless. <3 Heidi
| Well...I would say it's been quite a while since I last updated.
Nothing too exciting has gone on in the last few weeks..or whenever the last time was that I updated. :P
My dad and I went to the Casting Crowns concert the begining of December. It was...yes, AMAZING...times 10. It was great just being able to spend time with me dad too.
This last week has been so crazy for school....we had finals yesterday and today....NO MORE GEOMETRY!! YAY! haha. I'm so glad I am done with all those classes. Next quarter shouldn't be as hard..lets hope. I have World History, German 3, Newspaper/yearbook, and photography. Got some pretty nice classes.
Heather is back from college so we got to hang out on Sunday which was a pretty good time...had some good laughs, and she scared me half to death. lol.
Today we got out at 11:45 because we only had to take our last 2 finals so I got to hang out with Danielle today. We went and saw..lets see if i can get this right... yours, mine, & ours. It was a cute movie. Then we just hung out at my house....I love that girl!
well, I hope this is a good enough update for all of you who insisted that I updated.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
much love. Heidi. | | |
| ..............................................This week has been wonderful..................................
(use of dotage) ---- Kaylee, Rachel, Tammy, Katie, Mel
I'm thinking I should back up to the youth rally...which, yes, say it with me, was AMAZING. Overall, I thought the youth rally was a great turnout. The bands were awesome, some pretty darn good talent right there. I got to see so many people that weekend too. I don't think i went for 5 mins without laughing the entire time. How much those people light up my life. Kaylee, Tammy, Katie, Rachel, Emilee, Mel, Adam, Tomme <3, Timmy, Tim, all my "too cool to rock out with the band" friends :P..and everyone else....love to all of you. <3 Cassie and Brad came sat afternoon. Wow, Sat. night was so much fun. Us and Mel went back to my house and had a good time. Rode in Brad's amazing..and fast...car, with Alan. Watched Madagascar (sp?)...Brad's suggestion. Though i think he got more of a kick out of the front cover of the movie than the movie it self. haha. Went to villiage inn for some pie, and ate some tastey Hyvee. Great night.
well, I am now in Colorado and loving every min. It's just been a nice relaxing weekend at my Grandparents house. I love it here. And, I love my Grandparents. It's always a "party" when we are here. My mom, sister, grandma, and I sat up Friday night looking at jewlry. We can almost never get though the first night without doing just that. haha. Broke a string on my guitar, but, my dad took me out and we got it fixed right away. Thanks dad. :) Played my first "performance" here...sang and played my guitar. SHOPPING TOMORROW! whoo hoo.
now for this....
Ground Rules: The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a xanga entry about their 5 queer habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "You are tagged" in their xanga and tell them to read yours.
5. Skipping CDs. WOW. I cannot stand it. It makes me go nuts.
4. might sound lame, but almost every day before school I check all my email and everything..I feel like i forgot something if dont.
3. I don't like it when people kick me in the butt. I don't really know why. (mel. haha)
2. I'll get back to you on this one.
1. And this one too.
I will put names down here later for the next people to be tagged after i finish my list. :)
Enjoy the update, and God bless.
Leave some love.

| Well, I guess I should update so Jake doesn't get mad at me.
The Marshalltown youth rally was really amazing....
(yeah, i use that word a lot, but it pretty much says all).
Things have been going pretty good for me, started working at Krispy Kreme and that's going pretty good for the most part. School...well, school is still good ol' school. haha.
For all who don't know yet about the Davenport Church of Christ youth rally this weekend...you should def. be there. It's on Friday starting around 7 and you can stay over night if you would like to (everyone should) Waiting for Dave and Sequel to Adam are playing Friday night. 2 great bands from York College. Ask me if you have any more questions!
Thought for the night:: All my amazing friends out there...you guys are the best, and you make me laugh and smile so much. I don't know what i would do without all of you! I don't think I thank God enough for all of you. I LOVE YOU ALL!
Leave some love.
God bless, <3 Heidi | | |
